Services

The behaviour consultant assesses current functioning of the child, develops teaching programs, trains interventionists, and oversees implementation of programs. Parents also receive training and periodic progress report.

Interventionists implement the programs on a one-on-one setting in the child’s home and receive on-going training from consultant. 

A Category A RASP behaviour consultant oversees EIBI consultation services that access the Autism Funding.  

Focus of consultation and programming may be placed on academic, social, or daily living skills, depending on the child's specific needs. 

Consultant assesses the child and designs programs to address specific needs.  

Intervention services are optional. Behaviour interventionists provide one-on-one teaching sessions in the child’s home or community and receives training and supervision from the consultant. 

Families can request consultation-only service for different reasons, such as:   

• Providing existing intervention team with teaching programs 
• Targeting concerning/problematic behaviours
• Parent training for specific behaviour management strategies
• Teaching important skills (e.g., sleep training, toilet training) 
• Academic achievement assessment and intervention
